Pull Method Scanning
Pull Method Scanning is performed by clicking the
Scan Document
button located on the form’s toolbar for any CRM entity record type that supports the attachment of Notes.
Clicking the button initiates scanning on a scanner connected to your network with the included Scan Server and pulls the document image directly into the Scan form within Microsoft CRM.

Push Method Scanning
Push Method Scanning, like Pull Method, can be performed for any built-in or custom CRM entity type that supports the attachment of Notes.
IntellaScan™ provides two approaches to associating Push scanned documents with Microsoft Dynamics™ CRM entity records.
With the Direct Push Method the scan operator specifies the entity type (Case, Invoice, etc.) and enters the associated distinct ID number (Case No., Invoice No., etc.) on the IntellaScan Document Server. The scanned image is sent to CRM and automatically associated with the matching entity record with no user action required within the CRM interface.
The Indirect Push Method sends the scanned image to CRM where the assigned User enters the title, description, and attaches the document to an entity record selected from within the CRM interface.

Document/Image File Import
With the IntellaScan™ File Import feature users can easily import scanned document images, as well as any other electronic documents, directly into Microsoft CRM.
Scan documents from any desktop scanner and save the resulting image file to the configured network folder. IntellaScan™ will automatically import the file into CRM as a Scans and Imports record where a User then assigns it to the related CRM entity record and enters a Title and optional Description.
IntellaScan™ File Import can also be configured to automatically import Faxes delivered to a configured network folder by your Fax Server.
You can even configure a network folder to receive FTP file transfers that are automatically imported into Microsoft CRM.
